Scottsdale Installations

Since its beginnings as a homesteaded farming community in 1888, Scottsdale has demonstrated a symbiotic relationship between local artists and the community at large. Scottsdale Public Art has been cultivating this relationship for over 25 years as part of its mission to serve as a leader in defining art in the public realm through creative place making, signature art and events, exhibitions, and installations-contributing to the community’s creative, cultural, and economic vitality. This public art project is one element of the Scottsdale Road Streetscape Guidelines, which designated opportunities in the future for public art and creative expression to be integrated into corridor improvements along Scottsdale Road to make the road more attractive, interesting, distinctive, and memorable.
